When you are an interracial couple, there are so many things that you must discuss. Does your family season their food? Are we going to name our child “Jacob” or “Day-Quan”, “Anna-Beth” or “Shaquanna”? Most importantly, how are we going to raise our kids in today’s society? What school will they attend? Culture and their heritage.
You can say whatever you want, but when one parent is black, and one parent is white that child will always be considered black. Jake, being a “man” first is going to do everything in his power to protect and provide for his family, and a “white” man second how is he going to prepare this little black boy or girl for the world?
There are certain things that Jake didn’t have to worry about growing up are a white boy in Mahwah, NJ.

Jake is a brilliant guy! He has skipped two grades because of Cat and the Hat, Dungaroo Jeans, glue and popsicle sticks.

It doesn’t matter if you’re black or white. What matters is that you love, honor, and respect the person that you decide to spend your life with. LOVE WINS ALWAYS!!!
